What is Remarketing?
Google Ads Remarketing is a way to advertise online to the targeted customers who have already visited your website in the past. For example, have you ever seen an advertisement after you visited any site to buy a product on different online platforms? That chasing of the advertisement till you go back to the website and you are tempted to buy the products is what remarketing is. Many big brands and small companies use remarketing to target their customers and bring sales from them. It is easier to bring back old customers who are happy with your products and services than getting new customers with remarketing google ads.
Remarketing is often also known as retargeting. It can help you dramatically increase the ROI and conversion rates of any business because the past visitors are most likely your target customers. When they return they have more trust in the brand and eventually end up purchasing the product or service.
How does Google Ads Remarketing work?
All you need is a tag or pixel to remarket your ads from Google Ads on your website. Whenever a visitor visits your website, the browser cookies track your visitor activity. You can then customize the code for every page and make it relevant to different categories.
If you have an eCommerce website, remarketing is an asset. For example, you sell a musical instrument on your website. You can create a remarketing ad for a “keyboard” based on the people who visit the page where you sell “keyboards”. The browser has already tracked that the person wants to buy a keyboard, Google Ads remarketing will help you show highly targeted display ads and make them want to go back to the website and purchase it with special offers or not. Google Ads helps businesses to reach the target audience through their vast network of publishers.
As per Google, it’s a good idea to remarket the ads after the first campaign, as you already know who is interested. However, the cost might increase because you are targeting more individuals and won’t be able to create more ads that are as targeted as the previous one. By narrowing the audience, you will save more on Cost per click (CPC).
The Advantages of Google AdsRemarketing
Google Ads Remarketing is the best way to bring your audience back to your website. It allows you to stay connected with your target audience. For example, I myself have ended up buying stuff I never purchased on the first visit to the website because of the targeted ads on different websites I visited and I kept seeing the ad several times. Most often, the remarketing ads have discount offers going on which is even more tempting for the visitors to click on the ads and end up making a purchase.
The Higher conversion rates that remarketing brings make it a powerful tool for a business. Ultimately, the goal of any website owner is to get the engagement that leads to potential sales opportunities. A visitor visiting website and leaving does not only mean viewing the page but also the people who added something in the cart and didn’t go back, this can thus increase the sales potential with less money spent on ads.
